Trips and Clinics

In early to mid-spring, we target bass on Folsom Lake—perfect for beginners and youth. Late spring and early summer bring shad on the Lower American River. Mid to late summer, we chase striped bass, and in the fall, it's all about steelhead. As winter sets in, we switch between bass and steelhead, depending on conditions.

I can accommodate 2 anglers on my boat. If you have a larger group, let me know and I will do my best to accommodate with the help of other guides in the area.

Gratuities are not included in the cost of your trip but are always welcome and greatly appreciated. Your guides work hard to make your experience both entertaining and educational. While gratuities are never expected, they are a thoughtful way to show your appreciation if you feel you've learned something valuable or had a great time. A customary gratuity is 15-20% of your trip's total, though the amount is entirely up to you.
